Changing Colors

In a lot of my template designs the colors of certain layout parts can also be changed. This can be the color of the background, a border, an illustration, a watercolor smear etc. This is how you change these colors:

1. find the layer that needs a color change. In the layer above that one you will see a colored square. This colored square is the indicator that this part of the layout can be changed in color.
2. double click on that colored square
3. this will open a small pop up screen where you can change the color - and save

Here are three examples of what to look for:

♥ WHEN THE LAYOUT PART ALREADY HAS A COLOR TEXTURE BEHIND IT

In some designs the illustration, border etc. has a color that is created by a golden texture or a watercolor texture behind it. To change these colors you will have to disable the texture first. This is how you do that:

1. locate the layer of the design item that you want to change the color of
2. disable the golden texture by clicking the eye icon in fron of that layer
3. then double click on the colored square just above the design item layer and change color

♥ WHEN COLORS CAN NOT BE CHANGED

In some designs the colors of the illustration that is used can not be changed in color. This is mostly the case with multicolored illustrations that were made by other artists. The product description in the Etsy shop will always let you know when the illustration can not be changed in color by yourself, but you will also notice it in Adobe Photoshop. These kind of illustrations do not have a colored square above them or a color texture behind them.
